A Saintonge green-glazed jugThe jug, found in the same pit as the two polychrome vessels, is typical of the main output of green-glazed Saintonge jugs, which arrived in Britain over a long period from c. 1250 to c. 1450. Although an everyday household object, it is a vessel made with much technical skill.
